Ever since my doctoral research, I have been interested in Financial Literacy and its connections to Mathematics Education and the development of citizenship competencies. Financial Literacy has been receiving more and more attention from a wide range of institutions and researchers. However, most of them come from fields such as Economics, Business, Consumer Studies and Social Work. With the incorporation of Financial Literacy in the curricula of many countries, I decided to start a research program to explore this issue from an educational perspective.
